Are there any space restrictions associated with delivery?
Cabins and bathrooms can be delivered virtually anywhere provided the proposed cabin site is level, and any access gateways and thoroughfares are at least 3 metres wide. If in doubt, please contact us and we will arrange a site inspection if necessary.
*** we can install on unlevel sites, we just adjust our foundation blocks.
*** we use crane/hiabs when gateways are too small
Cabins can be delivered virtually anywhere! Ideally the site is level, and the access gateways are at least 3m wide but we often use cranes and hiabs for the trickier spots! If in doubt, please contact us and we will arrange a site inspection if necessary
How does the Highlander get power and water?
For our rental cabins, the unit runs on electricity and so requires an approved electrical connection. The unit is rated to 16amps and will come supplied with an electrical warrant of fitness. We supply a 10m lead complete with a caravan type plug and socket. We strongly recommend that you have an approved electrical connection to take this lead. If you do not have the right connection we can provide you with an adapter, this will however limit the amount of power going to the unit to 10amps, which may affect the full operation of the unit. If you are unsure of this, you must consult with your local electrician.
A standard garden hose with good quality fittings can be connected to the cabin to provide a water supply.
In many cabins, a chemical toilet is also supplied so no need to worry about black water (please note not all areas have these available).
For permanent installations, consent is required, and we are happy to provide all documents and provide guidance on this.
Are your Highlander cabins and bathrooms insulated?
Yes, our Highlanders are fully insulated with EPS panel cladding and double-glazed aluminium joinery.
Do your Highlander cabins come with a stove/oven?
Yes, our rental monopitch and porch style cabins come with a kitchenette that has a sink and oven options.
For purchase cabins, we can customise to suit your needs.
Do Highlanders come with smoke alarms?
Yes.
Do cabins require a code of compliance certificate?
If required, all our buildings can be supplied with a Building Code of Compliance and Certified Engineer Certificate. This request would need to be made at time of initial enquiry
